In our first week back, we created “All About Us” bunting which is displayed in Chestnut Class and we also did a lot of art about our likes and goals for the year. We began learning about our GLAM topic, volcanoes. In Chestnut class, we are planning a poster for NET which thanks all the people who helped us during lockdown, for example family, NHS and rainbows in the window. NET is a charity who help elderly people who are by themselves. They have events every week where they can get together and play bingo and have afternoon tea. Our posters will be stuck together to create a huge banner for a big charity event at Lotherton Hall next year.

Hazel class:

We have designed a panel that will be part of a banner next year!  NET (Neighbourhood Elders Team) visit Lotherton Hall on Yorkshire Day every year and are involved in a small parade.  This year they have asked us to join in and design a panel for the banner and some panels will be designed by our children.  The panels will show the children’s memories of Lock down.  Some of the panels will be embroidered by the NET team as part of the banner.

We have also been informed that the children will be able to join in the parade on 1-8-21 (if available).
