Our Reception children enjoyed the trip to Garforth Fire Station this week. Their behaviour was exceptional; walking to and from the station safely and exploring inside the building. The atmosphere was electric when children climbed aboard the fire engine and used the hose to create massive water jets! Children also learnt about safety clothing, equipment and procedures -so don’t be surprised if they come home searching for smoke detectors! Thank you to Garforth Watch- you really were inspirational and managed to convey serious messages in a fun way. Special thanks to our supporting parental helpers; Miss Woods and Mrs Barber.
