Years 3 and 4 had a fantastic time taking part in a skateboarding workshop on Tuesday as part of our Olympic Experiences. Team Rubicon (www.teamrubicon.co.uk) came to deliver the workshops – all the teachers were amazed to see how quickly the children’s confidence grew after a very short time. They learnt a number of key skills including making sure their feet were well spread on the board with their knees bent. There was even time at the end of our session to learn a cool flick trick!

Here is what some of the children said:
Luis -“I didn’t expect to be able to do all those things in such a short amount of time.”
Jess – “At first I was scared but then Quinn and Rose helped and I felt good.”
Violet – “I enjoyed it because it wasn’t just random things, he taught us stuff to do.”
Isaac – “When I was skating I was shocked I was able to turn the skateboard.”
