We have joined forces with East Garforth Primary Academy and Garforth Academy to become a BIC Community Champion for the Writing Instruments Recycling Programme. The main hub will be at Garforth Academy but we will have a box at Green Lane in the reception area and parents, children and staff can recycle their used pens here and we will take them to Garforth Academy

Writing Instruments are simple tools that we use on a daily basis, whether it be at home, school or work. Thanks to  BIC®, it is easy to recycle them for free, which helps to protect the environment.

Once collected, the writing instruments are separated by material composition, cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remoulded to make new recycled products.
