School Games Mark Gold Award

We are delighted to announce that, for the second successive year, Green Lane has achieved the School Games Mark Gold Award for the 2017/18 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. There are four main criteria areas we successfully met:

  • Participation - how many young people at your school are being engaged in sporting activity?
  • Competition - how many different sports are being played and how many competitions are being entered?
  • Workforce - how many pupils are involved in leadership activities alongside taking part in competitions?
  • Clubs - how many local links does your school have with clubs or establishments from the area?

We will be shortly be sent a plaque which will be on display in the entrance to our school to celebrate our achievement!

A huge thank you to all Green Lane staff and our wonderful club partners for their continued support and incredible committment to P.E and School Sport without whom this award would simply never have been possible.
