New Eco Noticeboard

The Eco-committee now have a virtual noticeboard which is accessible via the school website.

Please take some time to have a look at the information on it to find out about our aims and achievements around school so far; our competitions and projects; how some of the eco-topics relate to our school curriculum and some useful links to other websites.

Green Lane Primary is now proud to have a garden area where we are growing fruit and vegetables. Over the summer, some volunteers from the Incredible Edible team came to help us create the beds and plant some vegetables. They did a brilliant job and we are very grateful for their help. Incredible Edible Garforth is part of a global network who plant fruit and vegetables in communal areas for people to take for free! Their aim is to encourage learning about growing food and bring communities together. Please come and look at and take food from this area in the growing seasons. You are also welcome to add edible plants to the raised beds too - preferably with signs! We are looking forward to growing and enjoy this garden area as a community.
