Home Learning for Pupils

We love receiving examples of home learning at Green Lane. If you have written, drawn, built or recorded any learning at home, send it to your child’s class teacher, via Class Dojo or Parentshare (EYFS). Please remember to bring your work into school as well. That way we can display and celebrate it in our shared areas around the school.

We set half termly homework grid so that children can select a range of projects to complete. See the information below.

At GLPA we expect all children to read to an adult at home daily. Reading fluently and with understanding is the key to all other areas of the curriculum. We would like the adult at home to write in the reading record book each time they hear their child read. Children should also record their own, independent reading in the reading diary.

We expect children to practise their weekly spelling and times tables set by class staff. This can be done via TTRS or Spelling Shed games, as well as any other non-screen based activities.

Remote Learning

If children are having to self-isolate due to Covid, work will be set by the class teacher and sent via Dojo. The teacher will stay in touch and provide feedback on work completed. Log in to your account for more information.
