Year 4 visited St. Mary’s Church in Garforth for the Easter experience. Each child visited 5 stations completing activities at each one, learning about the life of Jesus and why Christians believe in, and celebrate Easter. The children had a wonderful afternoon and took lots of fantastic knowledge away. Here’s what some of the children thought:

“At church I ate grapes and bread and we drank wine!  We made sculptures from playdough to make us think about things that make us feel alone. We also got crosses and we drew on rocks and asked for the war in Ukraine to stop and we spent the whole afternoon at church.  It was fun and a kind lady called Hazel gave us all an Easter egg to take home.” Zach

“Firstly, we walked to church that took us about 25minutes to get there.  We then split into groups and discussed Palm Sunday.  We also made sculptures from playdough.  At the cross we prayed and we drew on rocks.” Leo
