In October, both Year 6 classes took part in a coding competition. They had to complete challenges, collecting stars based on their coding ability. The children were able to choose which programming language they completed the challenge with and had to use loops, repeats, variables and debugging skills. Over 1,200 classes took part from across the UK, all aiming to collect the most stars.

Last week, the winners were announced and Birch class achieved 3rd place! They have won a year subscription to Codementum which can be accessed at home and in school. In addition, two coding kits are on their way to school for the children to apply their coding skills.

Well done, Birch!
