A great time was had by UKS2 parents and children alike at our first Let’s Try event of the year on Friday  – Let’s Try Basketball. Chris from City of Leeds Basketball Foundation came and delivered a highly energetic, engaging and challenging session for all of us! Parents and children learnt the importance of being ambidextrous, keeping a low body position, making sure you are always looking up and how to control the ball whilst moving. A big thank you to City of Leeds Basketball Foundation and all the parents who came to support the event.

What did you think about the event?

  • “Fantastic and really good fun! The coach was great with the kids”.
  • “The event was very well run and a lot of fun! Chris described what we had to do extremely well. He made it a lot of fun for all. The short tasks worked well and there was lots of laughing as some of the tasks were tricky (like trying to catch your extremely fast son!)
  • “I don’t think it can be improved!”

Would you recommend future ‘Let’s Try’ events to other GLPA parents?

  • 100% of respondents said “Yes”.
  • “As a parent I rarely exercise with my son, it was refreshing to do this. We really enjoyed the event, thank you for providing this.”
