This week saw the final round of the Garforth Schools Cross Country Championships at Ninelands Primary on Tuesday evening. The first round had been won by Green Lane, round 2 by Ninelands and so there was everything to run for!
In front of a packed playing field filled with cheering parents and grandparents the children ran magnificently in warm conditions. Their determination and resilience was cheered every step by those who had come to watch. There were lots of great individual and team performances. Special mention must go to our Year 3 boys and Year 4 girls who won their event!
East Garforth won the final round so it really was a very close competition during the year with 3 different schools winning each meet!!
A big thank you as always to Mr Wales for his superb organisation of the event and all those who came to cheer on the children in what is surely one of the most challenging and demanding  sports.
