On Wednesday 14th July Green Lane would like to welcome all parents (Reception to Year 6) to an outdoor picnic. This event will be followed by the Outdoor Summer Music Concert for all parents/carers of peripatetic music lesson children.
Access and signing in on the day will be through the main gate leading to Ribblesdale Avenue. We ask that only one parent or carer from each family attend. No dogs please.
The event is fully outdoors and the event will be fully adhering to COVID guidelines in place at the time. In the event of rain, the whole school picnic will be cancelled and the music concert will be brought into the KS2 Hall.
Parents/carers are welcome to take photographs/videos on the day but please do not post them on any social media platforms.
Timings for Wednesday 14th July:
Picnic lunch on the field for all parents/carers of children from Reception to Year 6: 12:15 – 12:50
Outdoor Summer Music Concert for all parents/carers of children taking peripatetic lessons: 12:50 – 2
Children will enjoy a picnic style lunch on the field, sitting in their year groups. Parents are invited to join their child/children in mapped out areas on the field. Any children on school dinners this day will be given a grab bag including a sandwich and snack. Parents may bring their lunch but please be reminded that we are a nut free school. Parents are also welcome to bring something to sit on e.g. a rug or a fold up chair. At around 12:45 we will ask any parents who do not have children in peripatetic lessons to make their way to the exit.
Outdoor Summer Music Concert:
Following our picnic, our concert will take place between 12:50 – 2 on the playground for all parents/carers of children who take part in peripatetic music lessons. Time slots will be given for each group performance and parents are invited to come forward to provided seating to watch as many musical groups as they wish. For example, if guitars were to play 1:20-1:35, parents could stay in our picnic areas and move over the playground at 1:20 for this performance.
